In a region dominated by traditional crops, young entrepreneur Birendra Khadka chose a different path by leasing land for commercial strawberry cultivation. Rejecting overseas job opportunities, he adopted modern techniques to grow high-yield organic strawberries, turning his venture into a profitable model that inspires other Nepali youth to stay and thrive in agriculture.

At the age of 50, Prem Bahadur Lama faced a severe health crisis caused by chemical-laden food, prompting him to start growing organic produce for his own survival. What began as a personal necessity evolved into Ashapuri Organic Farm—Nepal's first and only fully certified organic operation—spanning multiple districts and supplying pure fruits, vegetables, and herbs to health-conscious consumers.

Geeta Khatiwada, a dedicated 33-year-old farmer from Belkotgadhi, has transformed her family's subsistence farming into a thriving commercial venture. Starting with limited involvement while her husband worked abroad, she fully embraced agriculture upon his return. Through specialized training, Geeta overcame challenges like heavy rains damaging her crops and ventured into off-season onion production, achieving a successful harvest that boosted her confidence and income.

Bhairabi Aryal is a pioneer of organic farming in Nepal who has transformed her farm into a fully chemical-free agricultural enterprise. Her dedication to sustainable practices and organic vegetable production continues to inspire other farmers to pursue healthier, environmentally friendly farming methods.
